Croatian Prime Minister Inspects the Peljesac Bridge Project
Croatian Prime Minister PLENKOVI? inspects the Peljesac Bridge Project on April 27. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Croatia BUTKOVI? and other cabinet members accompanied him.
PLENKOVI? listened to the bridge construction report on the site, and expressed his recognition of the current construction progress. He congratulated the erection of the steel box girder of the approach bridge on the mainland side, and expressed his deep sympathy to the builders of the Project who had been working hard at the front line. Then, PLENKOVI? walked along the continental approach bridge to S4 pier and inquired about the construction progress of superstructure such as steel box girder and stay cables.
PLENKOVI? said in an interview that this was his first time to step on the Bridge and he was great to see the construction of the Peljesac Bridge changing with each passing day. He stressed that the Bridge bears the long-cherished wish of the Croatian people to link the north and south of the country, and therefore the Croatian government has attached great importance to the construction of the Bridge, and he hoped that all the builders would continue to make efforts to achieve full connectivity of the Bridge as early as possible.
